At Alazany for Bon, we believe that true Yemeni coffee is not merely a beverage, but a story steeped in the rich, sun-drenched soil of our highlands. Our journey begins long before the roast, in the ancient terraces where our heirloom coffee varietals, like the esteemed Ismaili and Udaini, have flourished for centuries. Each bean carries the legacy of Yemen, the birthplace of coffee culture.
From the Highlands of Yemen to Your Cup: Alazany for Bon Journey

The Grinding and Shipping: A Sealed Promise
The coffee is ground to order to suit brewing preference, preserving its freshness and aroma. It is then sealed in protective valve bags and shipped directly from Yemen, delivering authentic quality and history to your door.

The Blending: A Heritage of Herbal Infusion
Freshly roasted coffee is skilfully paired with native herbs inspired by ancient Yemeni apothecary practices. Rather than conceal, these additions enhance the coffee’s profile, allowing warming aromatics from ingredients like ginger and cinnamon to complement the richness.

The Roasting: Unlocking the Soul of the Bean
Using small-batch methods, expert roasters carefully judge the perfect moment to end the roast through close observation. Different roast levels draw out nuanced characteristics, from bright acidity to deep chocolatey and spicy tones.

The Harvest: A Handcrafted Beginning
Local farmers hand-pick only the ripest cherries, continuing a meticulous tradition passed down through generations. They are then sun-dried for up to four weeks, slowly developing their distinctive complex flavours.
